In order to be able to moderate comments, inquire about using the qPloneComments add-on product

Let's say you have a page where people need to comment on its content.  This may be for the organization's approval of the content or where several people will contribute to the content.  The page can have discussion enabled for it where people who have editing access for that page can leave new comments, or comment on existing comments.  It's easy to make discussion available on a page in Plone.

Once you're logged in, select the edit tab on a page that will have discussion, and the page is displayed in the edit mode.  Just above the "save" button at the bottom of the page are the "Allow Discussion on this item" radio buttons.

By default, discussion is not enabled on a page.  To enable discussion on the page, select the "Enabled" radio button. 

When you've saved the page, an "add comment" button is at the bottom of the content column.

To add a comment, click the "add comment" button and type the Subject and text of the Comment. 

After the comment has been saved, the comment is presented at the bottom of the content column.  Other people can comment on an existing comment, as in the picture below, by clicking on the "reply" button. Or someone can add a new comment by clicking on the "add comment" button.  Individual comments can be deleted by clicking on the "remove" button for that comment.

If comments are no longer desired for a page, in the edit mode, select the Allow Discussion on this item's "Disabled" radio button.  This will remove all of the discussion capabilities on the page.
