How to Create Captions for Images
This How-to applies to: 2.5
Note: This function is only available if you have Kupu version 1.4 or higher.
Steps to Creating Captions
1.
Captions are pulled from the Description field of an image. If an image does not have a Description, then no caption will appear.
This step is easy. Just type in a Description for the image.
2.
Now check that captioned images are enabled. These settings are found via the Site Setup link, usually found in the upper right corner of your website near the Search box.

Click on the Site Setup link. You should now see a screen that looks something like this:

Look for the Kupu visual editor (the one with the butterfly) and click on it. Now make sure that both the Link using UIDs and Allow Captioned Images are checked. Be sure to push Save at the bottom of the page.

3.
Now you're ready to insert an image on a page. Navigate to the page you want to insert the image on and click the Edit button in the toolbar.
Next, click the Insert Image
icon and find the image you want to use. You should see a screen like this one:

Be sure that the Caption box is checked. Choose your Alignment and Size settings and click Ok.
4.
Ok, now the image is inserted, but you won't see the image caption until you Save the page you are working on.
